Creating a wedding timeline that works for your big day can feel overwhelming! There is one key component when we discuss the wedding photography end of your timeline. You should plan on putting someone else in charge of keeping the wedding timeline moving. You want to have so much fun at your wedding that you have no idea what time it is.
As your wedding approaches and your 50% deposit paid, I’ll call you to discuss a wedding timeline that works with everyone involved. While this isn’t something many photographers do, I find it important to provide a beautiful timeline to ensure we have plenty of time to get the shots that you want! We will keep in mind your vendors, hair stylists and make up artists, your musician or DJ- and most importantly- you!
Afterwards, I’ll create and print a beautiful wedding photography PDF for anyone who needs it. (It will look something like this:)
It’s important to remember that your wedding timeline is simply a guideline to keep communication for your day running beautifully.
Your wedding will not be destroyed if it runs a little bit ahead or behind. In fact, it’s fairly common to have a wedding stray from the timeline throughout the day. That’s okay! We can make up for that time later. Starting and ending the wedding on time is the main goal. Maintaining events during the middle of your day in the approximate right order is important, but your wedding timeline may need adjustments depending on the flow and those in attendance. Flexibility is important for a relaxed and happy day!
Remember, at the end of the day, you and your spouse are together. You are celebrating your love with the people you love. You’ll have beautiful pictures to capture those happy little moments, and that’s the most important thing.
